1. Who we are

REDGRIP.io ("REDGRIP", "we", "us") is an online platform for discovering and organising shooting sport events across Europe. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

Contact: contact@tier.redgrip.io

2. What data we collect

  • Account data — first name, last name, email address, password (hashed), and optional profile photo when you register.
  • Event data — title, description, location, date, photos and pricing information when you create an event.
  • Registration data — your name and email when you register for an event.
  • Usage data — pages visited, browser type, IP address, and cookies (see Section 6).

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

  • Contract — processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Consent — cookies and optional marketing emails (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, platform security, and service improvement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. How we use your data

  • Operate and improve the REDGRIP platform.
  • Send transactional emails (registration confirmations, event reminders).
  • Enable organisers to see who has registered for their events.
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with trusted sub-processors necessary to operate the service (e.g., hosting, email delivery, map geocoding via MapTiler). All processors are contractually bound to process data only on our instructions and in compliance with GDPR.

Your name and first letter of your surname may be visible to other attendees and the event organiser.

6. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential — authentication token stored in localStorage; required for the service to function.
  • Analytics — anonymous usage statistics to improve the platform. Only set after you give consent.

You can withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser storage or using the cookie settings link in the footer.

7. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., financial records for 7 years).

8. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Complaint — lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@tier.redgrip.io. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.
